Good morning, SJHS!
We hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for Friday!
Thank you to those of you who have been helping with the book tree project. Even our students have been getting involved and have donated over half of the ones received so far! We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our school community and we thank you for your continued support. For those of you who would like to help - there's still time! The tree will be here for one more week and there are still plenty of ornaments left. We need your help to make this collection a special one for our school as we try to reach our goal of over 200 books. [The holiday staff celebration on Wednesday would be a great time to take an ornament]. ;]
Book Club Update: We had 17 students at last Monday's meeting! Students discussed their current out-of-school reading selections and had a chance to make some new friends. We are so thankful for the success of the program and hope that it continues to grow. The students have been awesome! They're even talking about officer elections... we'll keep you posted. In the mean time, Ms. Ziemski is working on writing grants to keep this club up and running. Any student interested in the book club should visit Ms. Ziemski or Mrs. Pickhardt. We welcome everyone!
One final reminder: Please remind your students that the library does NOT charge fines for overdue books. We gladly accept late books. Thanks!
See you on Wednesday at the staff celebration!
